- 1 cup suji semolina – 160g
- 2 cup water – 480ml
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 medium onion – finely chopped
- 1 medium capsicum – finely chopped
- 1-2 green chilies – finely chopped
- 1 medium carrot – grated
- ½ cup coriander leaves – chopped
- ½ tsp turmeric powder
- ½ tsp red chili powder
- ½ tsp garam masala powder
- Salt – to taste
- 2 tbsp cornflour or rice flour
- Oil – for shallow frying
Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
Add onion, capsicum, carrot, and green chilies. Sauté until slightly soft.
Add turmeric, red chili powder, salt, and garam masala. Mix well.
Pour 2 cups water and bring it to a boil.
Gradually add semolina while stirring to avoid lumps. Cook until it forms a soft dough.
Switch off the flame, add coriander leaves and cornflour. Mix well.
Shape the mixture into small tikkis.
Shallow fry the tikkis on medium flame until golden brown and crispy on both sides.
