Pav Bhaji Masala

- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1 large onion finely chopped
- 1 capsicum finely chopped
- 2 large tomatoes chopped
- 1 cup boiled potatoes mashed
- ½ cup boiled peas
- ½ cup boiled cauliflower
- 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
- 2 tsp pav bhaji masala
- ½ tsp red chili powder
- ¼ tsp turmeric powder
- Salt to taste
- 1 cup water
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
- 6 pav buns
- 2 tbsp butter for pav
- 1 tsp pav bhaji masala for pav
Boil potatoes, peas, and cauliflower until soft and mash them lightly.
In a large pan, heat butter and oil. Add onions and sauté until golden brown.
Add ginger-garlic paste and cook for 1 minute.
Add tomatoes and cook until soft. Mix in chopped capsicum.
Add pav bhaji masala, chili powder, turmeric, and salt.
Add boiled vegetables and mash well while cooking for 10-12 minutes.
Add lemon juice and coriander leaves.
Toast pav buns with butter and pav bhaji masala on a hot tawa.
Serve hot bhaji with buttered pav, onions, and lemon wedges.
