Moong Dal Dosa is a healthy, crispy and protein-packed dosa made with yellow moong dal. A perfect breakfast or light dinner option for everyone.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup yellow moong dal
  • 2 tbsp rice optional
  • 2 green chilies
  • 1 inch ginger piece
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • Salt to taste
  • Water as required
  • 2-3 tbsp oil/ghee for roasting
  • Optional toppings: chopped onion coriander leaves, grated carrot

Instructions
 

  • Soak moong dal (and rice if using) in water for 3-4 hours.
  • Grind soaked dal with ginger, green chilies, and cumin seeds into a smooth batter. Add salt and adjust consistency.
  • Heat a tawa, grease lightly with oil or ghee.
  • Pour a ladle of batter and spread in circular motion to make thin dosa. Drizzle oil/ghee around edges.
  • Cook till golden brown and crispy, then fold and serve hot.
