- 1 cup yellow moong dal
- 2 tbsp rice optional
- 2 green chilies
- 1 inch ginger piece
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- Salt to taste
- Water as required
- 2-3 tbsp oil/ghee for roasting
- Optional toppings: chopped onion coriander leaves, grated carrot
Soak moong dal (and rice if using) in water for 3-4 hours.
Grind soaked dal with ginger, green chilies, and cumin seeds into a smooth batter. Add salt and adjust consistency.
Heat a tawa, grease lightly with oil or ghee.
Pour a ladle of batter and spread in circular motion to make thin dosa. Drizzle oil/ghee around edges.
Cook till golden brown and crispy, then fold and serve hot.
